Winter Showcase Final – Competition Entry Now Open

The entry for the Winter Showcase Final is now open and you can book through the mobile app or Customer Portal. To book via the app please click Bookings and follow the instructions. The deadline to book is Saturday 29 February 2020.

This event is a weekend worth of competition with the DMT taking place on Saturday and the trampoline being held on Sunday. During the booking process, you can select to attend either the Saturday, Sunday or both days. The events are open to all members in both the leisure and competitive classes. It consists of three competition streams:

  • The London Gymnastics, Gymnastics for All (GfA) levels. These are entry-level events where the athletes learn to compete and attempts to meet either a Bronze, Silver or Gold standard.
  • The British Gymnastics National Development Plan (NDP). This is for more advanced athletes who are looking to qualify to the London regional team.
  • The English Gymnastics Development level. This is for athletes looking to compete at the English or FIG levels. It will be a warm-up event for athletes to try new passes before the national event season begins.

How is the Showcase Final Different

  • Gymnastics for All (GfA) levels: Athletes will compete in traditional competition format of mixed clubs. There will be separate male and female groups.
    • The top 3 gymnasts per age group will receive a medal or trophy.
      – Trampoline or DMT score + Range and Conditioning Score = Individual Rank
    • The top 3 teams per age group will receive a medal or trophy.
      – Trampoline or DMT score + Range and Conditioning Score = Team Rank
  • The British Gymnastics National Development Plan (NDP): This is the qualification event for the London team that will travel to Birmingham. The top two, per level, per age, per gender, will qualify. At this event, athletes must score 70%, or higher, on the range and conditioning to be given permission to compete on the apparatus.
  • The English Gymnastics Development level. This will change to the London Elite levels. The athletes this affects will be notified.

Entry Fees

The entry charge for the event is £45 for one day and £65 for two. There will be the option to purchase the team kit during the booking process. The locations are:

  • Saturday 28 March DMT location: Arena, Kingston College, Kingston Upon Thames, KT1 2AQ
  • Sunday 29 March Trampoline location: Harlington Sports Centre, UB3 1PB
